Nvidia 3D Vision provides video games a whole new dimension
Posted by ecsem1 in Feb 01, 2011, under fashion life, news, technology
At the CES show, the graphics card manufacturer Nvidia unveiled its new Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision. This supplement consists of a pair of glasses, along with Nvidia graphics card and a monitor capable of 120 Hz, to give the player a 3D experience.
I have honestly not tried Nvidia 3D Vision – yet, anyway – and I am unfortunately not in place at CES, so I have to start from the press release has expired. According to the Nvidia 3D Vision automatically convert hundreds of games into a 3D experience. You wear the glasses, and the result I suppose is the same as when you look at the 3D TV with the classic red-green glasses.
The actual glasses, together with an infrared transmitter that is placed on top of the screen. This has a range of 20 meters.
During the CES show a large number of content providers, display manufacturers, OEMs and system builders support for NVIDIA’s 3D technology. To “said Christian Svensson on Capcom:
- NVIDIA 3D Vision has the potential to bring PC gaming to a whole new level by offering an unmatched depth of titles. When you play Dark Void with NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses it really feels like you are inside the game on a whole new way.
Nvidia 3D Vision has initially been launched already in the U.S. where they cost the equivalent of about 1500 crowns. It is at this moment not clear when they come to Europe and what they will cost, but it is decided that they would come sooner or later.

Surf anonymously
Posted by ecsem1 in Jan 27, 2011, under fashion life, technology
In the third and final part of series of articles about how to make you anonymous on the Internet, you can read about Dold.se. There is a Swedish anonymization that both encrypts your traffic and gives you an anonymous IP address.
Dold.se has since the launch progressed a lot. Originally offered the service only anonymous surfing with the browser and required the installation of a client to work.Nowadays Dold.se just as competitor Relakks make all traffic on the Internet from your computer anonymous.
To use Dold.se register an account on the site and then pay 50 crowns a month. After you register and pay up your machine to open a VPN tunnel to Dold.se’s servers. The traffic sent between your computer and Dold.se’s servers is encrypted and then outwardly makes your computer an anonymous IP address. The service has previously been criticized for being slow, but the capacity has been continually expanded and when I tested the service it worked as fast as competitor Relakks.
Little difference in the standard surf and chat is not marked and the total bandwidth loss, for one, stayed at around 1.5 Mbit / s. Worth pointing out is that I have a fairly slow DSL connection, probably get performance loss become more noticeable if you sit on a 100 mbit connection.

Audiobook for iPod – so do you, the easy way
Posted by ecsem1 in Jan 22, 2011, under custom and culture, fashion life, technology
My mother got an iPod Nano for my birthday, which she also use to listen to audio books. When I checked the web for information on transferring audio books on CD to your iPod , I realized that there should be an easier way.
The guide, which most are related to the availability blog , but even if this guide is very good and clear, it includes the Twelve Steps and many procedures. I thought that was a tad too much for my limited technical mother. It was even too much for me to cope convert an audiobook on CD to your iPod . Therefore I looked at alternative solutions.
What I describe here, is not the ultimate solution. But it is among the simplest . To implement this, you need an iPod, you have connected to your computer and you need to run iTunes version 8.0 or later. You also need, of course, an audio book on CDs.
The solution is to import your CDs into iTunesand create a play list of audio book. If you select the advanced way described in the above link, your audio book to fall short menu of books on the iPod, but in this case end up in the playlists.
One problem that I understand may occur, is that the iPod can not remember exactly where you were somewhere where you turn off and then will continue to listen. On my new iPod Nano does not occur this problem, but I guess it can mess up on older versions of iPods.

Hard Drive XS is the name of a new external hard drive from Freecom model. The unit claims to be the world’s smallest 3.5-inch disk.
Weighing 860 grams and a size of 18.2 x 11.4 x 3.1 cm is the Freecom Hard Drive XS very small to contain a disk of 3.5-inch size. The device comes in two models, one with 500 GB storage capacity and one with 1TB storage capacity. The price tag for the former model lies at 875 crowns, while the larger version will cost 1200 dollars.
The unit is equipped with a Turbo USB 2.0 connection. This bodes for high speeds over’s when the USB 2.0 interface itself supports speeds up to 480 Mbps The model is in black and has a shape custom rubber casing that will give good grip and make the vibrations are minimized. Sylvain Willenz, award-winning Belgian designer, stands for the aesthetic design of the disk. Hard drive chassis is not equipped with a fan which is a contributing factor to the device is so small. The disadvantage of lack of fan is understood that the disk, especially in heavy use, likely to be very hot.
Power is supplied by an external AC adapter, which unfortunately means that some of the points with an external disk in minimal performance loss. To drag along both hard drive, adapter and USB cable is quite bulky. It had instead been better if the hard drive could get its power via USB cable.

Clean up and secure your computer, Part 4: Defragmentation
Posted by ecsem1 in Jan 14, 2011, under custom and culture, news, technology
By defragmenting your hard drive cleaned, you will make reading and writing more effectively and faster. It is well invested time.
When you use your computer, and write to disk – something that made all the time, the data will become increasinglyfragmented . When the system writes a file to your hard drive, the file will be divided into small sections, to make it easier to manage and to take advantage of disk storage space to the maximum. But the more time you have spent your hard drive, the more scattered, these sections be.
Very scattered data allows the drive to work hard to collect and put together a large file. This notice this, reading is slower and, above all, you hear the hard drive making noise loud when the read head must jump back and forth across the magnetic disks. This is when your hard drive needs to be defragmented.
Defragmentation means that software moves on the blocks (clusters or blocks, as they are also called) so that a file’s data as close together as possible. This way, the hard drive is not working so feverishly to locate all the contents of a file. It makes the reading go faster and you avoid some rattle from the computer. In the long term make it to your hard drive does not wear as much and last longer.
Windows has its own tool called Disk Defragmenter , which is found under Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools . This program is quite good and works fine to drive. However, it is not the most efficient on the market, exactly. Do you want better results, try something else.
A good choice is Auslogics Disk Defrag . This is a free tool from a well-known software manufacturer. The program is very easy to use. Start by turning off as many programs as possible, and then start Auslogics Disk Defrag. In the menu, select the hard drive you want to defragment. Then, just click Next and wait for the work carried out.

Posted by ecsem1 in Dec 31, 2010, under news, technology
It has already been christened the Display-Cam, one of the future products that the Cupertino home Steve Jobs patented. It is a device that apparently is like a normal monitor but inside, it has sensors that recognition can capture still images and video.
In Apple have given the code name of sensing display (Literally perceptual display) which has characteristics of the output device to display images, but for the first time the input to acquire the surrounding environment. But let’s see the advantages reported: first, we will finally have the opportunity in a video conference to look into his eyes, which is impossible until now because they usually look in the webcam is directed away from the monitor. There will also be the opportunity to save space dedicated to the webcam which can be used for a larger monitor.
The project will then be passed on the iPhone and iPod Touch to arrive on the Notebook. In fact in the patent it comes to PCs but also PDAs and cell phones. It is rumored that the product will already be presented to WWDC 2009But nothing is official yet.
